Oooh, I do hope that we get to know her name (thank god there is another chapter up). I'm liking Severus more and more. It's really funny though, because fan fiction has made me a softie for Drakey-poo and Sevvie. It's true! Anywho, I love your Snape. He is still sharp and rude to others, and yet at the same time can be nice "her". Insquequo terminus, amanda

Author's Response: Snape came off a lot softer than canon (rereading GOF fire right now and I'm itching to kick him), but, hey, my fanfiction, my rules. ;) But, yeah, she makes a huge difference for a lot of people.

This is a great story -- truly. This is coming from someone who absolutely hates Draco ships -- especially DM/GW (although I admit, I believe Draco could develop a thing for Ginny, but she's a little to sharp to fall for him, as I see him, anyway). Don't even mention Draco/Harry (shudder). But I digress. Even though I love fluff, especially yours, this story is truly wonderful, and I'm impressed with your use of different points of view and style. I expect one of the next chapters will be Harry's side of the story? I look forward to it.

Author's Response: I agree with the chance of DM falling for GW; reading over GOF, he sends a lot of barbs towards the trio, but doesn't say anything to Ginny. Doesn't have a chance, though, does he? :) Harry's side is the fifth and will act as an epilogue, so it's really, really long. I've only just finished it and am quite pleased. (Then again, I'm smug, so, yeah, we'll see if it goes over well.) This whole story has been an experiment with strategy (a couple twists still coming), so thank you for complimenting the style. Ah, I love reviews *grins*.

After exclusively reading G/D fics for the longest time, I've finally broadened my horizons to G/H fics, and I've found this positively stunning. I've also been wondering what her name could possibly be, and I'm coming up quite blank. I love the way you write Snape, both realistically and far deeper than I usually see. Your Draco of the flashbacks is extremely plausible and seems like a guy who no matter how much he wanted to, just couldn't bring himself to be strong and do the right thing. Judging the circumstances of this fic, you're Harry and Ginny also seem right on. I'm curious to hear more about his man who we've only heard referred to as "the Slytherin". All in all, this story is one of the best I've read and I feel it really goes deeper into the personalities of each character. Thank you to your wonderflu contribution to the overly cliched masses of Harry's child stories. I was down on fan fiction in general, and this reminded me why I sitll read it.

Author's Response: The Slytherin will make a brief appearance in the fifth part; he has his own ties to the Potter-Weasley family which I hope will be a pleasant surprise. I'm glad you think I've avoided cliches - that's one thing I try to do, but it's difficult because there's just so many pieces out there. Snape was tough to get out and a sympathetic Draco was a bit easier, but Harry is giving me the hardest time of all. Weird, huh? Thank you for saying that you've enjoyed, it's reviews like this that keep me writing.

I'm thinking so hard of names, but I can't get any. At first I thought maybe Narcissa, but Draco didn't like his mum much and I doubt Snape even knew her. Well, he knew her, but didn't KNOW her. I'm not sure of this, my dear... not sure at all. I love this story, I really do. I'm way into dark stuff, because... dark stuff rocks. While light and fluffy stuff entertains you for a bit, dark stuff stays with you. Although this isn't completely dark. There's a happy ending in sight. I've always found Snape an interesting character and fun to write, because he's so easily moldable. You do it beautifully, kudos on that. I'm very interested in writing about him because of the fifth book and the whole thing with Lily... if Lily Evans could see the good in him, it had to exsist. Draco, too. I love to write and read people's views on him. Anyone can write him a villian, but it's the truly talented ones that can write him as a good guy. See, with Draco there's a lot of potential in him. JK wrote him with the capability to be a super vilian or to be a hero, and I personally hope she goes with hero. Good job, all in all. I nearly cried. I always nearly cry though. It's when I do cry, that's when you know you've done it. Still more to go, though. Let's cross our fingers for tears.

Author's Response: Snape does leave a lot of room to play with, so I'm thankful for his checkered past. He could have gone either way and it makes a big difference that he chose the right side. As for the girl's name, it's coming very soon; I'd like to think it's going to be odd, but fitting for the character and her story. Hey, you don't have to cry! Seriously, that'll ruin your keyboard. :)

What a compelling sotry...your writing style is excellent...the plot is a little too dark for my current interests...life itself is dark enough, I read for escape...but I can't seem to leave this story alone....you've woven a spell.

Author's Response: Life is pretty dark, but I had so much fluff running through my head, I just had to offset it with something different. Thank you for giving it a try though it's not your usual taste.

A sympathetic Snape, who knew? :) I wonder if I like him because of who he became or because of his treatment of Ginny's child whom I predesposed to like because she is Harry and Ginny's daughter. Interesting, very well written stuff. I'm looking forward to Harry's view. Well done!

Author's Response: Exactly: Who knew? I tried to make him a bit rougher around the edges, but came to the conclusion that all I was putting him through had to leave some sort of mark and change him. Thank you very much for you compliments; Draco's turn is next. His the shortest of all - while Harry's is by far the longest and acts as an epilogue of sorts - but I'd like to think it fits him.

Fantastic and original. I don't usually read the stories about canon characters' offspring, but this is something special. Keep up the good work.

Author's Response: Yay! Thank you. A big part of me writing this was wondering how a mix of Malfoy-Potter-Weasley would appear in human form, so I'm glad you're enjoying it.

i find this story extreamly interesting. i dont want to like it because it kind of seems that harry has gotten the fussy end of the lollypop in this deal. however i cant get myself to dislike the story. your writing is compeling and vivid, i am extreamly imprested even though i really did want to be. i love what you have done with snape, i can see him and draco fighting like that. i hope to learn more about this girl. i give you the highest praise i can think of, i bet J.K.R. would like this. and i cant think of anything better then this. great job and please update soon.

Author's Response: Thank you very much; my ego love praise. :) Harry does get face a hardship here, but he has his own good and bad decisions regarding everything, as you'll see when it's his turn (he's fifth so, obviously, Draco's POV is next).

Wonderful update -- as if I expected anything less! I must say that I am getting extremely curious as to her name.. Something obvious that Draco would know about, but something that Severus wanted.. I have no clue. I really loved this chapter, and it's good to know that even though the daughter is "spawn of Malfoy," she has a good heart. And it was about time that Snape opened his eyes and realized he should be happy. And I should also say that this is one of the few stories that I have read that has actually made me like Snape -- pat yourself on the back for that. In cannon, I usally wish that both he and Draco would die. ::smiles sweetly:: Anyway, fantastic chapter! I think in my mind I'm checking off the plot holes that have been filled in from the first chapter. Teehee. ::10 stars, of course!:: signed, Sam

Auth or's Response: Draco has a part to play in the name, as you'll soon see. I don't see it as a HUGE revelation, but it's effect is pretty apparent on another major character. I'm glad you think that my OFC has a good heart - that's something I've strived for in spite of her tendency to be a little rambunctious. As for Snape, I just couldnt' write him any other way. The way I wrote this story, I expect that you could start at any of the first four chapters and just fill in the blanks using the others, ending with the fifth as its grand finale. Hopefully it will all be done to your satisfaction then.

Author's Response: You haven't missed it. It'll come out soon, very soon, I promise.
