Reviews For Blood of the Heart
Reviewer: DebbieO Signed Date: 2007.12.23 - 09:08PM Title: Simple This story is amazing. I love all your original characters. Particularly Anna's clumsiness and habit of saying private things aloud. Joanna is sweet and fun and Nathan is wonderful. I loved Catarina too, and was sorry she had to die. This is just great writing. Reviewer: H/G4ever Anonymous Date: 2005.10.10 - 09:38AM Title: Simple I've really enjoyed reading your two companion stories about Harry and Ginny and their blood bond. Of course, I am now anticipating more, so I hope your home life is calm with the kids in school and your husband keeps his "Star Wars" encouragement up. I became obessessed with the H/G fanficton after reading HBP. You have really made it more enjoyable. I like your idea of the blood bond, since it reflects a lot of the reality of a couple in true love. Keep up the good work. I'm glad you didn't write about anyone unbinding or healing Malfoy and his cronies. I prefer to think of them still bound up and in pain. The Neville/ Joanna relationship is novel, but slightly distracting from the HarryGinny/RonHermoinie interaction. I love Joanna and Neville. You have such a gift to make me care about OCs as much as canon characters. To be honest, I like Neville/Joanna more than Ron/Hermione, but I've never been the world's biggest Hermione fan... she just comes in handy to have around! I'm really excited to see how everything is going to play out! Reviewer: oscar Anonymous Date: 2005.10.05 - 07:40PM Title: Simple i loved the new chapter. keep them coming!! Reviewer: PatronyBologna Signed Date: 2005.10.03 - 02:37PM Title: Simple l'd hate to be in Draco's shoes when Daddy Lucius comes home. Loved the scene with Anna and the boys and all the girlfriend stuff. I love how she is so easy going and comfortable with them to bring up such a subject and that they seemed to accept her. Oooh, things got a bit um, heated in the room of requirement. Fred and George, always looking out for Ginny... and Ron! Ron needed a good snogging and I'm glad Hermione took matters into her own hands. H/G bond-- it's a complicated thing, isn't it, but I pretty sure I understand it or at least what Hermione was trying to explain. (Remembering tidbits from previous chapters) Are we going to see more Legillimency between Harry/Anna or is Harry going to sharpen those skills? It could be 'useful'... Joanna and Neville, I'm excited that he was the one who accepted their bond first and brought it up with her, it shows that he's the 'stand-up' kinda guy we all know that he is. I've never been caught kissing a boy by my mother... and I'm not sure that if I ever had been, I'd be able of proper thought. Good thing those Belvin women are so stubborn!! Lovely all around, it's nice to have a break from the gloom and doom that is Lord Voldemort and the war, I've been extremely busy as of late and my 'online' time is very limited, but I do make time for your story and look forward to my next furlough and the next chapter! Thanks ~Patrony :) Reviewer: Sibling Creature Anonymous Date: 2005.10.03 - 11:48AM Title: Simple FWIW I've quite enjoyed reading about the characters you've been writing about. :-) You write your characters so vividly that I'm finding myself just as absorbed in Anna and Nathan's story and Joanna and Neville's story as I am in Harry and Ginny's story...
As you may have gathered from my previous reviews I love the way your characters interact. There's usually one or two exchanges that I especially enjoy though, and in this chapter it was this one: (though I guess its only really funny when taken in context)
"We, uh, we wanted to tell you," Neville said, "we're going to do the bonding ceremony."
"Really?" Ginny breathed.
Joanna snorted.
"Really," Neville replied rolling his eyes. Reviewer: wvchemteach Signed Date: 2005.10.03 - 09:31AM Title: Simple Oi...I caught some brit-picking mistakes we missed...as one of your beta-readers I need to apologize.
I like this chapter...it goes a long way to develop Neville and Joanna...and highlights the differences between Harry, Ron, and Neville and why each of the girls love their man.
I have to say I wouldn't want to be Draco right about now, after Lucius paid for his mistakes. I liked how Neville was willing to stand up for Joanna and she for him to her parents...that was very well done.
I also thought the setting for the dance...on the lake...was fabulous. Reviewer: Wolfs_Scream Signed Date: 2005.10.03 - 12:14AM Title: Simple Very nice! It was good to see Neville & Joanna so happy! And what would we do without Hermione??!? Well done! | |||||||
