Well done! "Please do not browbeat our daughter." Right. :-) Minerva McGonagall being sarcastic? To students? Perish the thought! :-} I wonder if Severus would like a new vocabulary word: "chutzpah." :-} I certainly can understand Harry's reconsideration of his stated career path toward being an Auror. That makes a great deal of sense to me. And what 15-year-old has a clear grasp of his ideal career anyway? Sure, there are some -- but I'd venture that they're not exactly common. "leaning down to kiss is wife" -> "leaning down to kiss his wife" [At the conclusion of the scene at the Room of Requirement.] Well! Joanna seems to have managed to express herself clearly to Augusta Longbottom...! :-) As for your query in your last A/N -- something expendable; something I'd never want to use again. Probably something that's already unclean, as well. :-} I look forward to the next chapters!

Author's Response: I don't suppose you'd believe that the "is wife" business was my attempt at cockney, would you? :) And no, who knew what you wanted to do at 15? My career path certainly has changed several times since that age! Hmm...interesting thoughts on the Voldemort tupperware. I look forward to hearing what you think of the item I chose. Thanks!

You know, I'm not a big fan of Auror!Harry. I don't know why, but I just don't think that's how he'll be happiest in life. I'm glad your Harry has found his niche. It also sounds like emotions are going to play a role in them pulling the spell off. As always, wonderful job! I'm glad Joanna was approved of, and I'm glad Augusta didn't seem too opposed to the bond!

Author's Response: I was really wondering how the change in career plan was going to go down with everyone, especially since canon still has him going in that direction. I like to think that my Harry has grasped the notion that being happy is what counts in the end. Thanks!

I am glad that Harry has decided to become a curse breaker. I often thought that Harry deserves a break from the Dark Arts when he finally defeats Voldemort. Loved the scene between Mrs. Longbottom and Joanna. Way to go, Joanna! Someone should have told Nelville's grandmother "off" years ago! Way to stand up for your man, Joanna! I am so curious as to see how Nathan, Anna, Bill, Ginny, and Harry will pull off all of the new spells and things. I guess I will just have to be patient and wait for the next chapters.

Author's Response: Thank you! It's nice to know that my Harry's career path change is not way out in left field! I had fun writing that scene with Joanna and Augusta. Joanna needed to show some spine in order to win Augusta's respect. Thanks!

Yes, I've always felt like Neville, somewhat fearful of the woman in the vulture hat, I would have been huddled in a corner sobbing. Way to go Joanna for having enough 'spunk' to match her, although I can't imagine Mrs. Longbottom a giddy teenage girl in love! Bill will be excited to have a fellow cursebreaker in the family.. provided that he actually, officially, makes it in. Poor Ron, between his own brothers pulling stunts on him, now his best mate is in the mix. Glad to see Percy again. Nathan and Severus was a little tense, theres still a lot of raw issues there that hopefully will be resolved in the end. Everything is coming together nicely, bits and pieces here and there, I'm looking forward to seeing if all my speculations are correct! Sadly though, this story will be finished! Ironic, isn't it? Wonderful as always. As far as what to put the Dark Lord's spirit in...hmmm A bank account. So often you put things 'in' only to have it disappear forever into some vast pit of nothingness! The veil takes checks, right?

Author's Response: *giggle* - no, I agree, I don't think Augusta was EVER a giddy teenager in love. A spunky, confident, loyal teenager, though, yes. Ooo, I'd love to hear about your speculations...but don't worry, there's quite a bit more to go before I tie the bow on this one. I LOVE the idea of a bank account - how true, how true!

Oh I love this story so much! I love the part about Augusta; I always invisioned her with great spunk! Please update quickly! pp

Author's Response: Thank you! Augusta has stern spunk, I think. She loves her grandson, but just has a strange/hard way of showing it. It was fun to have Joanna win her over. Thanks!

'“I never thought I’d say this but doing all this research for-for-“ Harry glanced around out of habit for curious ears “- the spell – it’s been fun.” Hermione bit the inside of her cheek as Harry blanched at his omission.' Do you by any chance mean admission? I can't for the life of me figure out what Harry left out *wry smile*

Author's Response: *giggle snort* - yes I did! Thanks for catching that. Harry didn't leave anything out. :)

“If Neville ever brings home a dead bird, it will be dinner. Only! There is no way I will ever wear it.” *LOL* Nice interaction between Joanna and Augusta there... I especially liked Joanna's reaction to the hat. I also liked Harry's dilemma with his career plans and how he resolved it, and loved his conversation with Hermione and the following conversation with Ginny. I also like the fact that staying at Hogwarts an extra year to do Ancient Runes will mean he won't have to be separated from Ginny while she completes her NEWTs :-)

Author's Response: I'm glad you like Harry's career decision - I know some will go no, he's an Auror, through and through, but the way I've written Harry here, he wants to do something he really enjoys and what he enjoys most is being with Ginny. Thank you!

I enjoyed this chapter and the confrontation with "Gran". Keep up the great work and I look forward to next Monday.

Author's Response: From the moment Joanna entered my mind, I thought she has to meet Gran! I'm glad you enjoyed it!
