Hermione's talk to Harry was very nice; I think we needed someone to come out and make it clear to Harry (and us) how special Ginny is to/for him. The list was excellent humour! For a moment there I thought someone might grab it from the bin and give it to her.
I just don't get the impact of "Well, I think it just makes us even". How does that refer to her previous crush? I'm familiar with the canon ... her crush, her then (reportedly, via Hermione) "getting over him", but her "getting over him", just reported once via word of mouth by Hermione on the way back from Hogsmeade in OotP, didn't seem to be 'noteworthy' enough, not enough of a substantial 'event', for it to be used here as a hurtful argumentative weapon against Ginny. When she "inhales sharply" and Harry feels like "crawling into a hole" I was just going "huh?" and having to think through the above 'academically'; I didn't FEEL any sharp emotion on behalf of either of them. I didn't get it.

Author's Response: Right there is a problem presented when I edit/read my own work over and over before I post it. I get so used to the characters saying it, it ends up just making sense to me and I forget that it may take just as many times of reading it for others to catch what I ended up thinking was obvious.
So, yeah, a goof on my part. It'll stay in, though, becuase I really don't know how else to put it in. *Muah* to you, Brad, because you make me think a lot.

Okay, I've been reading this story for the past few chapters and I'm finally getting around to reviewing. Sorry I've been so remiss. I really, really like this story. It's very true to character. I'm very much enjoying the close friendship between Harry and Ginny. Even the fight in this chapter is totally in character. Both Harry and Ginny are pretty hotheaded. I can totally see them getting into a huge screaming match. Keep up the good work!

I cringed while writing the screaming match, but these characters are just running amuck and taking me along for the ride; I'm hoping they give me a break soon so I can return to the fluff. :D

I love Harry, I love Hermione, I love Ron, I love Ginny, and I LOVE your writing. It's so new, and in-canon, that I just want to scream "JK Rowling!"and point my finger at you. I LOVE LOVE LOVE how you have the trio still being such good friends, and *knowing* each other so well (eg: Ron in the library, "Angry day?"). We don't see much of that with the Harry Potter fandom growing. Urgh.
You've done a wonderful, amazing, outstanding job with the story so far, and all your other stories.. Sorry I havent reviewed much, I don't think of myself as a "review" person much, but I'll do it on occasion or when something in particular catches my eye.
Urgh! Utterly and completey jealous of the people who knew what stories the things were from! ::whines:: I want to see a teaser of upcoming chapterssssssssssss. ::clears throat:: Anyway, fantastic job on this chapter, and I hope to read more soon.

Oh Harry, you are in for it now. Man I wold not want to be anywhere near them when that comes into play. If I were Hermione I would run as fast as I can. Anywho, this was such a great chapter. I can understand where Harry is coming from, I would be kind of pissed off too. And I am just shocked that Ginny would do something like that. but hey, who said that a girl had to reasonable.
You really do have a way with words and you have me addicted becasue I just read like all of this story this morning. *I'm supposed to be doing something worthy of my time according to my parents. I tell them what is more worthy than Harry Potter and Ginny Weasley.* I read most of your others and I enjoyed this but I really am looking forward to seeing where this goes.
So, I'm looking foreward to that Ginny...fight...crazy...scene. I can't wait for an update. Do it soon, please. I'm prone to going crazy waiting for updates. You don't want me running around psych wads talking about how Ginny is about to run Harry into the ground do you. Woohoo! I won! I loved the fight between Ginny and Harry. I could see them having a passionate relationship. Not as much so as Ron and Hermione but I can see them getting in to some heated rows. Can't wait to see what Harry's response will be to Ginny's last line. I thought that Dean was going to break up with Ginny, but this seems to be going in a very interesting direction. I would have been upset at Ginny too. I'm mad at my friend for something similar to what's happening. I told him I hated him (though I always told him that when we were just playing around) and I don't want to talk to him. We talked once and he hasn't tried to talk to me since. Ok enough with that. This is great. I like how you aren't afraid to let Ginny and Harry have it out with each other. More than that though, I like how each of them is actually right. They have good reasons to be mad at each other. Still, they have good reasons to like each other too, and I do look forward to the making up part. Well, making up...making out...same difference, right?
This has been a lot of fun to read. I like your style of humor and your characterizations of, well, everyone. Just one quick thought for the road though, is Hermione's last comment about a spell to defeat Voldemort going to carry through? I've read a lot of fanfics where a spell is used to beat him, and they never seem to turn out as well as the stories with the less "expected" endings. Just my two cents. Anyway, good job and keep writing!
Author's Response: I'm excited about the making up (ahem: out), too, but we still need to take a few more steps until we get there. But hey, I'm glad you like it.
I won't drop Hermione's spell from the story, but it won't be a plot point. My intention is to keep this H/G, leaving out as much of the school/Voldemort/Dursley stuff out of it; that's why you don't see the classroom setting much. It would just make the story too long and I want to finish this by the end of June. It looks like I might make it, too.

Excellent back and forth, and loved poor Harry trying to figure things out. Good on Ginny for not just throwing Dean away and running to Harry, or trying to win him over. And excellent end bit there, with her not really leaving and Hermione showing up.

OMG!!! You had me on the edge of my seat the entire time! I can't believe they were so mean to each other, but I am glad that Ginny will finally learn about the prophecy. And I loved Harry's list, it was so funny. He soo likes Ginny, it's really obvoius. I can't wait for the next chapter!
