Nice! Very nicely done ... Harry plans his campaign (with Hermione's help) and carries it out, slowly, one step at a time. delightful, delightful chapter. You captured young teenage hesitation & misgivings perfectly. One little nit for the pickin' - "...I can handle Weasley's..." should be "...I can handle Weasleys..." since apostrophe's don't pluralize thing's regardless of whether or not they are proper noun's or end in "y." ;) Other than that, this chapter was a joy to red, and I am totally looking forward to next thursday or so...!

First off, congratulations. I've read quite a lot of HG fanfics, and this is one of the most convincing ones (definitely). Usually Harry falls for Ginny suddenly, and become extremely sensitive, knows what to do and say, so it's very refreshing to read one where Harry's character is kept, and let things build up gradually. It makes it seem a lot more real and convincing.
I started reading it the other night, and ended up reading it until nearly 2 in the morning because I simply couldn't stop. That's how good I thought it was.
Anyway, I like how you make the characters so vulnerable and so human, having their doubts about themselves and all that. Besides, the way you portrayed Ginny was simply brilliant, and after I re-read it, I noticed how you are letting the characters grow, which is unusual. The fact that it fits with cannon makes it even better.
There was only thing I was wondering, though; is Voldemort going to play a bigger part, like a confrontation, or will the story will be only based on Harry and Ginny? Not that I mind, either way.
This is too long. Great chapter.

Author's Response: Convincing? One of the best compliments I could get, so thanks very much for it. The problem with Harry is that even though he gets the girl, he's still not quite sure what to do and tends to get...carried away (as you'll see in ch. 14)
Voldemort will not make an appearance, per say, but his presence will be felt relatively soon. Oh, and no review is too long, I swear! :D

Not only has my face had a smile on it from ear to ear the ENTIRE chapter, but my mouth is dropped and flies are free to come and go as I READ.THE.CLIFFHANGER! I never thought that you would stoop so low, and have a cliffhanger right at that PARTICULAR moment! Oy. Anyway, I'm over the exasperation, and anxiously awaiting next Thursday. Sorry this review is kind of lame, but I think the pool/sun take precedence over fanfiction. No offense. :P
Great job, though! Best parts -- Harry's talk with Hermione; Harry and Ginny's first handholding scene; Lisa and Harry talking; and the almost-maybe-but-not-yet kiss at the end.
I wonder what Seamus was saying exactly. Urgh.. boys.
Gotta go, the 90 degree weather is calling my name. :D
