I'm sorry.. I really tried to like this but the moment Ginny becomes omnipotent and they start to talk to each other mentally is usually the place everything start to go downhill. I'm a huge Harry/Ginny fan but when Ginny surpasses everyone else in maturity, capablity, cleverness and beaty it is pretty much my limit. It's your way of writing things and I respect that.. you like to write an extremely strong Ginny.. it's just not for me.

Up to this point it has been a really good story. I liked it when Harry was doing things alone. I might not have reviewd then but that's because I really didn't have anything to comment about. Everything was going along smoothly. I have to admit I was hoping that he would stay out of Hogwarts and keep learning things himself and so on. The story really did seem to pause after that point. It kind of lost it's focus; became a story not about taking care of horcruces and Voldie but about relationships and making Harry and Ginny love each other enought to endure every darkness together..

So I thank you for this and bid you farewell, for now.

Odd, somehow my review ended up in chapter 1... You never cease to amaze me. I've read every single SSPotter story you've written, and of course absolutely loved them. This story is shaping to be just as good. I love stories about a mental bond between Harry and Ginny, and I'm very happy you decided to put one in here. ^_^ Now hurry and update so I can read the next chapter, I'm getting anxious! Keep up the good work, I love reading your stories. -Rettet

Author's Response: Thanks for reading! This one has been lots of fun to write - and challenging, since I'm trying to stay 'true' to character while allowing the characters to develop in a seemingly 'natural' way. :D

Wow! Sorry it took me a while to get to the chapter. :-( Cute way for Ginny to escape McGonagall (even if temporarily). I'm reminded of kokopelli's "The Letters of Summer" (except in that story, Ginny's animagus form was that of a russet-colored tabby cat). Given that Ginny has certain personality traits that might fairly be characterized as "feline," I'd chalk this up to great minds thinking alike. :-) Nice "cover story" for the knickers -- though I was surprised that it was Ginny's wand that Hermione nicked: I expected it to have been Ginny's bra. Though I suppose either could have been roughly as incriminating as the other (at first, anyway). :-} And all concerned are lucky that McGonagall didn't exercise creative use of a Summoning charm. :-} Looks as if Ginny's "standing by her man," all right.... :-} Given Ron's perception and evident intent, that alone might have qualified for her saving Harry's life, eh? I gather I wasn't the only one surprised by Ginny's attire ("wearing nothing but a smile"). :-} "cat got your tongue," indeed. :-) I find the phrasing "Even stark naked ... she was absolutely gorgeous" a little odd: I'd expect her to be "beautiful" when "stark naked" (as Harry does). :-) I'm a tad surprised that Hermione is so thick-headed about the tactical necessity of withholding information from the enemy, but she does have a pretty strong tendency to follow rules & believe authority figures, I suppose. Interesting set of properties those Levitation Leeks have. Hmmm... had there not been a hapless student handy, what would Prof. Sprout have done...? -- no, don't even *think* of answering that...! :-) Reaction to Harry's earring seems about right. :-} Ah, yes -- the Bond. Heh...! :-) Nice bit of reassurance Ginny provided, there. Jumping Beans? Ron, Ron.... Tsk.... It does begin to seem that Harry & Ginny will definitely make a team that will take advantage of the Gestalt Effect. :-) [Thinking of how their strengths complement one another....] Leave it to a librarian to make a visual (and tactile) pun. :-} The bit where Ginny tells Harry what Tom did to her -- I was expecting her to tell him that she was pregnant. (I haven't looked at the other reviews of the chapter yet; I'll be surprised if I'm the first one to admit this, though, since there are at least 12 reviews already.) Ah, yes: looks as if the bond the unites Harry & Ginny might well be worth exploring -- speaking of tactical advantages. Which reminds me: I wonder about the interaction between the bond and Ginny's animagus form... hmmmm.... :-}

as a matter of interest... What cover story did Hermione give McGonagall for where she 'found' Ginny and where Ginny had been all night?

Author's Response: That's one of those odd bits that will crop up later. :D Don't want to spoil the surprise!

Excellent as always, my dear! Nice to see some mental communication happening, it always does bring a smile to my face. The bit with the Levitation Leets and their effects was great; I can just imagine Harry wishing he had his own personal crop of them. Thank you for this chapter, PhoenixAeternum

Au thor's Response: You should have seen my daughter splutter as she read that bit . . .I keep trying to remember that these characters, for all their emotional maturity, are, at heart, high school students!

Who needs cordless extendables when you can hear each others thoughts... :-) I love the way these chpters play out, especially the ending of this one.

Author's Response: Ah yes . . .but have they truly realized what is happening to them? Or perhaps they only think that it's when they get really close. . .Thanks for reading!

Great Posts! I admit, the Voldemort physically raping Ginny thing wasn't something I expected, but is interesting to consider. I always considered what he did to her to be emotional rape but, the thought of the other is very nauseating. Glad Harry was able to get past it and remember that he loves her. And Dumbledore was right, it didn't really happen in the ways that mattered. Can't wait for the next chapter!!!

Author's Response: More happened in the Chamber than we've been given in Cannon, I can feel it. It will come into play eventually in JKR's stories, it has to. This is just one interpretation.

I should add to my previous review that the whole notion of Ginny being raped by Voldemort is pretty hard to take and given a choice I'd rather have seen that part omitted from the story. Bad enough she had to be possessed as an 11 year old without that too. Call me squeamish. Or maybe because I'm a dad with daughters. In any case the story overall is fine and the writing is very good.

Author's Response: I'm a mother with two daughters - and the very thought of it makes me sick, that's why I added it, it is something Voldemort - or the part of him in that particular Horcrux - would have done - and he wouldn't have cared if it caused all of us bouts of squeemishness, the more to fear the better as far as he's concerned.

You continue to make this story shine. While the whole idea of Tom actually raping Ginny makes me squeamish, you lightened it up really nicely at the beginning of this chapter. I thought for sure it was Ron pulling back Harry's curtains and would find him there. Ginny turning into the cat and watching the whole thing was a hoot. I was really glad you didn't make McGonagall come off as looking stupid, either.

Author's Response: Yes. It makes me squeemish too, but you have to admit, it would be right in line with Voldemort's view of the world, besides, he was planning on killing her anyway, why would he have cared what he did to her first? As for Ginny's turning into a cat, I keep finding myself drawn back to that chapter in OotP where they're waiting for news about Mr. Weasley and she's "curled like a cat on her chair" and then in another chapter (I can't remember which book) "Ginny made a sound like an angry cat." The very idea makes me grin!

This story has taken all sorts of twists and is quite breathtaking at times. Very well written and extremely enjoyable. I especially like your portrayal of all the characters, particularly Harry and Ginny. A lot of imagination and effort has gone into this. Well done - although I have to say, McGonagall listening to bagpipe music for pleasure might be pushing it a bit!

Author's Response: Oh, I don't know . . .McGonagall does seem to go in for Tartan quite a bit, you never know! And then again, maybe that was Harry's real punishment! (Heaven only knows that it would be for me!)
