Good story, but things like the superfluous details about the wards being installed and the kids' training sessions do not progress the story and slows it down quite a bit. It's not necessary.

I love your input on the disclaimer lol. this is really truely fascinating. I'm loving the way the timeline is being altered and changed all due to even the simplist changes. I think I know why they hold Peter too, because well, he has to be loose, or Voldemort doesn't return to Power, which would, in essence completely screw the story. But wouldn't it be easier to destroy all the horcruxes BEFORE Voldi returned to power, so when 4th year came he could just kill Voldy then, and be done with it. Lol. But I get that would only implement that many more changes in the timeline. :S Will be interesting to read and see how it all unfolds.

Another nice long chapter, it was a good thing to bring Bill home to do the wards, but it helpped to have from 'instigate' of Bill's skills. :D
I wonder who is trying to keep Sirius from being free.

Good to see Lupin early, but it’s not as strong as my job over Sirius as he’s dead and Lupin isn’t. One of the jarring elements of your stories are Harry’s seemingly casual recollections of the deaths of all these characters we are so attached to. Now, I realize that his emotions over Lupin’s death were anything but casual, but you deftly insert these horrific memories (Bill’s death and Hermione’s injury in this chapter alone) in this midst of otherwise pleasant and innocuous scenes. Very crafty of you. It makes the memories even more powerful since it becomes almost clinical because the horrors are years removed and are one of many, many tragedies Harry was forced to witness. I wondered if Bill would show up when Harry was arranging for security. Wise on his part because, not only does he fully appreciate Bill’s skill, but he knows that he can fully be trusted so that the work done can’t possibly have been compromised. I am curious about what he wants to talk to Harry about. Percy seems to be distancing himself even earlier from his family this time around. Interesting possibilities. As for this Wormtail business, I did mention something in my last review about someone mucking it up. I should’ve known because it was all too easy. I hope Harry gets Sirius out soon. I hate him being there. It is a pure pleasure reading this story.

As much as I like the entire story line, your imaginativeness and your writing style, the part about the wards was the even better. This is one of the best things I;ve seen in HP fanfiction.

That was amazing. I saw the first chapter of this on the song and reviewed. While reading the other peoples reviews someone mentioned that the story was on here and well I flipped out and read it all. It's amazing. The idea is incredible, this is the first story I've seen like this at all and on top of that it's very well written. I can't wait for the next chapter and hope desperately that the fact that you're posting on phoenixsong doesn't mean that you're going to put updates on hold! excellent work, this is one i look forward to so much - smiling and tearing. beyond your notes (quite insightful), the meshing and clashing of 11/12 & 30 yo Harrys and his effects on the others gives as much room as you need for your story when it appears against canon or OOC. i'm already tearing my hair out over Sirius and hoping as Harry that the laws of unintended consequences don't dash his hopes.
