Re-reading Nightmares again. Probably my favorite story told in the Harry Potter universe. You capture emotions very well and this chapter speaks of hopelessness in a way few authors can reach. Great writing, I can't wait to get further into the story.

You know, I've recently started re-reading some of the long running stories on my favorites list and I'm finding things that have got to be unintentional on the parts of the auhtors but coincide with things that appear in Deathly Hallows. For instances: in your story starts nineteen years in the future. Granted, its nineteen years in the future starting from Harry's first year. Still, the fact that you ended up with the number nineteen is a weird coincidence since the Epilogue in Deathly Hallows takes place nineteen years after the final battle. Just something I was thinking about. ~Jeff~

PS- Are you ever going to bring up General Hastings again? I'm not sure how you would go about doing that, but he did tell Harry to look him up... granted, he meant in the future, not in the past. Just a thought.

Great job on 35, glad to see the update. Glad to see Bill brought into the fold, I've always liked him. I thought the part with the twins and their future shop in Diagon Alley was very witty. I hope this never gets abandoned, because this is the type of story that begining FF authors like me learn from.

Definitely one of the best fics on the site. You really have thought through everything and have well-delevoped plans. I hope you keep writing! I can't wait to see what happens when thrngs heat up during his third and fourth year. I've read your Naruto fics on ff.net, and thy're really good too, but I must say that NoFP was my favorite.

To others reading this review, if you havent read any time-travel fics, this is THE one to read first.

I hope you update soon.

This will be the first review I've written for this story (I chalk it up to laziness I apologize) but I'm already well into my second read through - and I rarely do that with any piece of literature, fan written or otherwise - I've enjoyed this so much. The emotional depth put forth in the narrative is incredible, adding in the little snippets of Harry's past horrors coupled with the masterful prologue, (although in terms of cannon it could be considered an epilogue of sorts) set the tone for a roller coaster ride of emotions - the small bit about Harry finding his Christmas ornament in Ginny's room was particularly heartrending. But balancing out the angst ridden subplot is delightfully penned humour and no small amount of hope. Done with anything less than the utmost care could have turned a brilliantly thought out piece of fiction into an incredibly depressing piece of writing, the continuity is superb and the characterization shows a thoroughly in depth amount of planning and forethought. I applaud your skill for narrative and I am thoroughly enjoying reading this, keep up the amazing work that has been prevalent throughout the story.

The Caffien Addict

P.S. A bit of music that goes quite well with the mood and tone of the prologue is a cover of Metallica's "Nothing Else Matters" done by Apocalyptica, bit of a sombre tune when played on cellos.

ouch.... I sorta browsed through some storys to keep me occupied while waiting for breanie to post something and then... well: THIS.

Your Vision is even darker then mine was, and I let Ginny die in the end in Harrys arms... lets see how this works out. Oh and dont mind me stealing a few sentences would you? You really made me shiver with this ;)

Such a wonderfully written story. Your continuity is perfect. I'm late in coming into this story, but have now caught up with the rest of the readers. You have been added to favorites and I eagerly await your next chapter.

I completely understand about real life and mundane things getting in the way of writing, as I have experienced the same myself. Once I had to put off my own updates on another board for about 6 months, because of the real life bug. Take your time, make it work for you.....those who are loyal and truly do love your writing, will be here waiting to devour your next chapter as soon as they get the e-mail of an update. In the mean time....I send hugs and cookies to make up for those that were rude or mean. Hope it helps :)

Another great chapter, but why did you have to leave it in a cliffhanger?? Anyways, I was really looking forward (and anxious) to read about Harry telling the Weasleys his secret. I'm not surprised they were shocked, but you gotta love Ron for standing up for his friend - and punching the twins to boot. I'm worried about poor Neville. And I'd also like to see more of the H/G storyline, but it's understandable why cause they're still so young, so any interaction between them is great.
Can't wait for the next chapter.

You got me looking over the original 3rd year trying to figure out your next stoy line. I oredict that Peter is going to escape and Sirius s still going to be hunted by dementors. That is fate. Does this mean that Harry will be going to egypt to se Bill this summer. I can'twaitto see if Ant Marge maks an appearance to help the dursleys.

Well, I'd like to comment that this fic is fascinatingly interesting. It really is seperate from any others I've read before, in the fact that it is so different. I'm enjoying it quite a lot. It's very good so far.

OK, you've caught my attention with this premise. What a depressing reality Harry has found himself in. I don't blame him for wanting to try anything to fix it. I'm assuming it worked or there wouldn't be much of a story. I can't wait to see how things will be different the second time around. Good job.

Author's Response: Thanks!
