I never felt that McGonagall backed Harry against Umbridge. She said 'keep your head down' Didn't help at all. But you are certainly writing her like that and I like it.
Thanks

Fun chapter. Snape's reaction to Harry knowing *all* the questions is great. "Damn Potters!" Although not much pushing of the plot in this chapter, I enjoy seeing your modifications to this portion of canon. The story diverges from the books quickly enough, but this chapter mirrors them well enough to see a difference in every conversation and introduction. It's good fun.

Once again, a wonderful chapter. I just adored the whole Snape issue and I couldn't stop laughing when Harry answered all of Snape's questions correctly. I also liked the nightmare with the girl that looked like Ginny. And yes, Minerva always has been on Harry's side. *sighs happily* Oh, but it did seem a bit strange that Harry should know so much about the school system. Anyway, great chapter.

I'm not much for AUs, but this one was suggested to me by a friend of mine. Starting out I wasn't at all pleased with the concept of Harry being the Sole Survivor of the war. Then as I continued to read and found out his intent to go back in time, I still wasn't sure I was too happy with the idea of him already "knowing" how the future would unfold. No one should be quipped with such power. Lol. But I am finding the more I read, the more I want to read, and that I am deeply enjoying this story. It's fascinating and keeps your attention all the way through. So all reservations I had about it before hand have since deminished, and I'm out right enjoying this. You are a very talented author, and I can't wait to read more, and see just how this fan-fiction comes to a close.

Cute, sort of. A little scary though... innocent little harry beeing a bitter old man? That should become interesting when Hermione finds out....

I’m back. I started this story with such enthusiasm and then disappeared on you, didn’t I? Well, I’ve been around the site, but my time online has been limited the last few weeks. I decided to hold off on this one since it’s a behemoth and clearly has a long way to go yet. My enthusiasm has certainly not diminished, and I’ll be reading and reviewing regularly from now on.

OK, where to start? First, I loved the Sorting Hat, both for its “nothing between the ears but Harry James Potter” remark and for its wisdom when talking to Harry during the Sorting. Luna as a Gryffindor? Interesting. I must confess that I was surprised that Harry took things so far with Snape. He could’ve missed a question when Snape started getting years ahead, but I understand the urge to show up the git. Even more surprising was his immediate request to file a complaint. Yes, I don’t blame him for wanting to get Snape out and agree 100% about how wrong he is to have in a position of power over students, but it is important to not change the timeline too much. Removing Snape from Hogwarts especially this far out seems like that could have pretty huge repercussions on the timeline if Snape decided to seek out Voldemort again. Risky! I’m also interested in Harry’s sadness at seeing the castle and some of his old friends again. I certainly understand that he’s filled with unpleasant memories (kind of the point if you look at the title, eh?), but I’m surprised he doesn’t feel more joy at seeing things again as they were and knowing that he’s going to do all he can to avoid those unpleasant fates. You have to love Harry for that big heart of his. Excellent, excellent!

better and better. usuallyi don't like the idea of a super harry but the explanation for his knowledge an abilities just makes this story so plausible. awsome stuff!

Author's Response: Yeah, I think too much super-izing Harry just drains the tension from the story. All this Harry has is a bit more experience and knowledge of potential future events.
