you seem to use the phrase "things seem to be looking up" a lot...i was just wondering why that is?

Well, once again, Harry tries to avoid a major incident, it happens anyway, and the physical repercussions are worse. At least Quidditch is going well, and he’s improved Fred and George’s game at the same time. Countering Quirrell doesn’t seem to have had any negative side effects (well, at least not yet). I’m glad he had such a nice time with Hagrid. I can’t blame Snape for being suspicious, especially after Harry slipped and called him Snivellus. Oops. Ginny’s letters continue to give him a reprieve so his good night sleep after the first one was not a fluke. I didn’t think it was. I wonder if she’ll fall for him again or if she will view him as just a friend. Well, I’m sure she’ll fall for him eventually, but he’s certainly removed the Boy Who Lived mystique by becoming her friend. Her crush, therefore, might not develop at all. On some level, Harry might not care too much about a romance as long as he keeps her safe, and they can work out the rest when they’re older. Still, protecting her and all his friends should become trickier and trickier as time goes by as events deviate further from the original timeline which just seems inevitable as they go further down this new path… unless that’s the point of things still happening anyway – it’s a way for fate to nudge back. I should shut up and get back to reading. Love the story!

Author's Response: Thank you kindly. I'm trying not to skip anything. If nothing else, the close re--reading I had to do of book one let me pick up on a few new things.

I really don't have much more compliments to make, all i can say is that this chapter is also great. ( the only slight downpoint i have on your story is that i think that the first chapter was a bit to long considering it's purpose, but everything else is so damn perfect i really should have mentioned it :P)

Author's Response: The prologue was a bit long, but it sets up a lot of things that will come to fruition later in the story. It should also help show the difference between old-Harry and merged-Harry...
