What a lovely (and long) chapter. It is facinating to watch these characters grow up again, but in a way, differently. Anyway, good job. ^_^

The Ginny lump in the photograph was cute, and I love it that she made the scarf. Harry’s decision to blast his parents to Dumbledore was interesting because it was vehement. I understand it was for Dumbledore’s benefit, but, frankly, I’m a bit surprised that Dumbledore didn’t try to tell him some good things about his parents. The photo from Neville was sweet. I do enjoy his being part of the group, even if, at times, it sacrifices a bit of Hermione face time. Harry is certainly working hard to keep everyone included and playing to everyone’s strengths. Nice. Wise move to enlist Peeves to help. No detention in the forest? Well, that’s what is fun about this story. Harry doesn’t need to learn what he learned in the forest the first time around since he already knows it. This allows him to avoid some of the unpleasant parts of his past while still being prepared. I meant to say last chapter that I’m glad Hermione is joining them for their training. She certainly would benefit from becoming more physical. I found is satisfying to see her pull one over on Harry. Obliviating Snape. Beautiful. Great chapter yet again.

Just remembered. Seamus is a half-blood, so shouldn't he have been exposed to muggle culture enough to recognise the joke?

Author's Response: He might have, but it would depend on how 'wizarding' his household was. If one parent AND the kids are magical, the muggle influences might be somewhat marginal. In Seamus' case that seems to be what happened. (We also know from OOTP that his Mum, who is a witch, is a bit of a busybody, which supports this as well.)

Wow! I just read chapter 10 at FF and I must say that Vernon is playing with fire. Molly Weasley will kill him - not to mention what Sirius will do if he gets a chance. Better yet, let Ginny get him with some accidental magic. She has not started Hogwarts so they can't say she used a wand to get him. Or, you could let Dumbledore throw a fit. He should check on Harry. By the way, shouldn't the blood magic keep Harry "safe" from harm? I guess not. What were Fred and George thinking by sending him those things? Surely they have heard Ron telling his family how the muggles treat Harry. Please hurry and get SIYE caught up with FF. I prefer reading stories here.

A very interesting premise, and one of the better "Harry goes back in time to do things again" stories. I can certainly see the appeal in going back and doing things again, as you can effectively make canon dance to your tune, rather than the other way round. I really like the fact that you are taking things nice and slowly, taking the time to tell the story and paint a picture rather than simply juggle bits of canon around to the way you like, Just one thing - I see you have switched from using [scene break] to using a more decorative break. It's just a suggestion, but you may want to edit them to something a little more subtle, as I certainly find that the both of them detract from the actual story - the first because it seems more like a command, and takes me out of "story mode" and the second because those huge lines of XXXXXX etc are still a tad on the ugly side. A simple ***, centred using a html tag is often far more subtle, and gently lets your readers know of a change of scene, without jarring them out of the storytelling. Overall, very good so far. I'm looking forward to seeing where you'll go with this. David.

This story is just fantasic. I think you should stick to the one big story, condensing events rather than larger ones as the others suggest. We already know what happened the first time around, and its the differences that matter. I'm eager to see how the Chamber incidents and Sirius's breakout turn out. I also love the portrayal of Snape as truly evil rather being redeemed. Snape is too good of an evil character to be redeemed easily. As you said, he is a leglimens, so there was never any sort misunderstanding about Harry's intentions on Snape's part. And HBP proved that he didn't need a wand or an incantation to use it. Same goes for Malfoy. Just because he loves his family doesn't mean that Draco is alright. He's viciously hateful towards the Harry and friends, and you just cant hate people irrationally just like that if you were good deep down. Both of them only understand power, and will join the side which stands to give them a higher advantage. They are faithful only to themselves.

This is a really great story. I have always loved time travel/transference stories of any kind. It's a nicely original take on the concepts and very well written too :-) The changes that have been introduced to the other characters are very clever and one aspect that I particularly like is that you haven't made Harry into Super Harry. He doesn't always manage to get it right and I think that makes for a better story. I'm very interested to see how the story will develop, particularly with Ginny in the second year. If you're going to write the second year? If you decide to do that have you considered separate stories for each year as opposed to a single large story? (That way each year can be completed and be a finished story which is really great as a reader.) sorry if that's excessively meddling. :-( Anyway, a wonderful story and I very much look forward to reading more.

Aaah, Hermione putting Harry in a kotegaishi... that paragraph alone made the fic. Anyway, great stuff so far, though there are a fair few typos and Americanisms still to sort out. Other than that, there's nothing to say but the traditional cry of "please update soon"...

Author's Response: Hermione always was an overachiever.

still great even without the italics! sitting at the edge of my seat waiting for the other shoe to drop. just a bit disapointed that harry didn't go to look at the mirroer of erised... that alone could have been a whole chapter... still how is harry going to handle ginny's first year? if he keeps her as a close friend will she even be affected by the diray? that is a major turning point for her and what gives them common ground in their relationship. but how could harry allow her to deal with something so horrible when he loves her? so many questions... great job!

Author's Response: We will see how Harry deals with the diary next year... he's not going to just let it happen though.

I just love this story! Poor Harry - he is getting good at juggling. By the end of things, he should be a master. I like your version of Neville. He seems to have come into his own this time around. I always figured there should be more to him than we usually get to see. When do you think you will have SIYE caught up with FF.net? I noticed that you are up to chapter 8 on FF. Great story! Please continue! Please update soon!

Author's Response: I'm having some issues uploading chapters using the script here. (It hates MS Word.) If anyone has a suggestion that doesn't involve manually recoding my HTML tags, please share!
