Reviews For Harry Potter and the Nightmares of Futures Past
Reviewer: NaruKoibito Signed Date: 2007.04.07 - 12:01AM Title: A Trip to Diagon Alley I really enjoyed this chapter (like all the others). I think my favorite line was how Ron said that Mrs. Weasley thought he was running away from the Burrow. XD I also like how you write Ginny. It's very much like her character, while in a way, she's still the first year she was depicted to be. It's still facinating to imagine this 30 yr old Harry in this 12 year old one. ^_^ Reviewer: dalf Anonymous Date: 2006.10.03 - 10:52PM Title: A Trip to Diagon Alley No two wands are alike!!! I don't suspect that two wands with the same wood and same core woudl be the same in anyevent. Even if you were trying to make them thus, discounting thickness, flexability, length, positioning of the core, any sort of specal method for how the cor or wook is prepared. But, I like your other wand makers there is precident for that with Fluer anyway. I can’t wait for the Dursley’s world to come crashing down. Should be entertaining. Of course, I’m pleased that Ginny wants to join them in their training, not that I expected anything less. It has to be odd for Harry as a half adult to deal with parental regulations and admonitions, especially since his child half never received kind corrections while he was growing up. I love it that he got some time with Ginny. Of course she picked up on the fake wand breaking. She’s a sharp one. I can’t wait for him to be able to fill them in on everything. I imagine it will be a while yet since it will take them time to learn occlumency. I hate Snape. He has to complicate everything. By the way, and I’m glad you’re going with the Snape is evil rather than he’s still good. I don’t know what she’ll do in canon as she’s put evidence to argue both sides, but I think he’s such a vile man that I want his betrayal to be real. It allows me to hate him fully and for Harry to have been right in his constant mistrust. Plus, I imagine it works better for you story regardless of what you may or may not believe will happen in book 7. This doesn’t really relate to the chapter, but I just wanted to express my thanks for writing an evil Snape. Great job as ever. I usually only read finished fics since I tend to go mental waiting for updates, but I am content to keep continuously checking here.
I also have saved adn passed it onto a friend who for some reason can't get into SIYE- she love it as well, she said that it is one of the strongest beginnings to a fic she has ever read!
Can't wait for the next chapter Reviewer: HP Anonymous Date: 2005.11.28 - 10:11PM Title: A Trip to Diagon Alley OMG!! I REALLY LOVE THIS STORY!!
I AM SO GLAD I CAME ACROSS IT!! I LOVE THE FEELINGS BETWEEN GINNY AND HARRY!! I LIKE THE FACT THAT HARRY IS ELEVEN/TWELVE, WITH ALL THE LOVE AND FEELINGS OF A THIRTY YEAR OLD!! I GUESS SOME THINGS WILL BE EASIER FOR HIM THE SECOND TIME AROUND (GINNY) Reviewer: Jen Anonymous Date: 2005.11.28 - 09:09PM Title: A Trip to Diagon Alley Can't wait to read the next update to this story. I love the way you've created an alternate universe and yet...not, how you've managed to create a new version of the story without wiping out the old one. It's also really cool the way you put in Harry's dreams, occasionally giving a glimpse into his future, but not the whole picture at once. And it's amazing that you've been able to do this without making the rewritten story line seem fake or too contrived. At times I forget I'm not reading a real Harry Potter book, it's very believable as far as the series goes.I also like how you brought in the whole occlumency concept, I'd never thought of that before but looking back it sort of fits that Snape would have been doing that. Overall this story is just amazing! PLEASE write more soon, I can hardly wait!
Reviewer: Flavia Anonymous Date: 2005.11.28 - 05:31PM Title: A Trip to Diagon Alley It's a good thing I happened to catch the date of your last update, or I would have made an idiot of myself asking for the when the next one would be. By incredible coincidence, I have only come across this story the day you updated it!! This means, of course, thatI am going to go crazy waiting for the rest of it. This is one of the most interesting & rather well written stories I have seen in HP Fanfics. Reviewer: Nemo1024 Anonymous Date: 2005.11.27 - 03:50PM Title: A Trip to Diagon Alley Sorry. I misread the date on FF.net and treated "Published: 07-11-05" as 7th of November. Why can't there be some unified date format?! (Rethorical question :) ). I did not report Intromit's story - I never do as if I suspect something fishy, I inform the author involved and let him or her take any action. What triggered my internal alarm was the style of the first chapter, which was pretty weak. The later chapters are getting progressively better.
I hope no harm was done and if the mods of SIYE can delete my previous review, that would be for the best. Reviewer: Cyrus Smart Signed Date: 2005.11.27 - 04:15AM Title: A Trip to Diagon Alley I LOVE IT!
I think it is great that you used Freds line in OOTP "Ask us no question, we will tell you no lies"
that is by far my favorite quote out of the entire series and it shows thst harry is inadvertantly melding thr two times together!.
love it update soon! 10/10 Reviewer: tilia Signed Date: 2005.11.26 - 11:25PM Title: A Trip to Diagon Alley I'm intrigued by how well you're keeping to the "original" story being lived by a 30 year old Harry. I love the plot. It's very original with some unexpected twists and unforseen challenges. I appreciate how well thought out your story is thus far. Thanks for getting the chapters up so quickly. Reviewer: LaughingJudge Anonymous Date: 2005.11.26 - 10:53PM Title: A Trip to Diagon Alley Excellent work! I really want to read more of this. Reviewer: Michelle Anonymous Date: 2005.11.26 - 09:12PM Title: A Trip to Diagon Alley Great, as usual! Can't wait for the next update! Reviewer: Nemo1024 Anonymous Date: 2005.11.26 - 07:50PM Title: A Trip to Diagon Alley Very nice. I love Dursleys... not. :) You portrayed Harry's reaction to Arthur and his berating quite accurately, down to the last flinch.
By the way, I think I found a partial rip-off (or merge) of your and SSHENRY's stories, which was published only a few days after your's: Harry Potter and the Fate's Debt (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2479927/1/) . At least in the first chapter it has Harry sharing a mind link with Ginny (as it happens in SSHENRY's universe), while at the same time a time shift, where he decides to get to know Ginny better during the first year (as it goes in the later chapters of your story). Reviewer: Marsella Anonymous Date: 2005.11.26 - 05:23PM Title: A Trip to Diagon Alley Good chapter. Keep going with your fantastic work.
Hope you update soon I like read this particulary story.
Can't wait for the next chapter.
