I have to admit that TIMEPIECE's jumping back and forth in its timeline was a little confusing for me (since I'm a very visual, literal person, and whenever time-turners are involved, things get a bit intangible). However, I really liked how you chose to end this whole series.

If I understood it correctly, in the end, ten-year-old Harry doesn't have all of his SPECIFIC memories that the Adult Harry had (e.g., that he and Ginny share the same soul in two bodies, that Ron and Hermione end up married, that his godfather Sirius will die during Harry's fifth year at Hogwarts, etc.). But, this Harry (at the end of TIMEPIECE) thinks he just had a dream involving many vague components of his wizarding world experience (e.g., broomsticks, robes, Ron, Ginny, etc.), even if he doesn't have a firm grasp of all of the details (unlike earlier in the story when he woke up in his cupboard on Privet Drive, yet still vividly recalled everything that the Adult Harry knew). Is that correct (that they WERE able to prevent the Immemorium charm from being put on Harry, so he doesn't have all of the specific memories that the ten-year-old Harry did earlier in the story)? (This was how I understood it.)

Anyway, I've greatly enjoyed the entire S.S. Potter series. I completely understand why others hold it in such high esteem. Your stories stand alongside JKR's work, and there are many components that you came up with that I would have liked to have seen in her books. I plan to include this series on my list of favorite HP fan fiction stories of all time. On behalf of myself and all of your many other fans, thank you for all of the time and effort you put into writing all of these great stories.

And even Lucius turns out ok. Not my favorite ending, but a good tale, all of it. Thanks a bunch.

I read the first story in this series a while ago, and I recently came back to SIYE and found it again, starting frmo the beginning and reading all the way to this last story. I have loved this fanfiction, and I think that your dedication to this series is amazing, and I truly cannot wait to read The Dark and Winding path.
The memories that were taken back of the adult Harry, they were not actually Harry but just his memories, so in all honesty, would his life still be going on from where he and Ginny left off after their night of fun, or would this world that you have distinctly created now just be one big cycle that happened constantly, Harry and Ginny not being able to get past that event after Ron's party?
I do hope that you could answer my question and know that I will forever love this series, even if Timepiece left me questioning.

You have quite the imagination. I must say that this is definitely in my top 10 as far as long stories go, which is definitely saying something since I've read over 200 60,000+ word stories. Great job and I will be reading the dark and winding path after lunch (which is right now).

Nope...didn't do it for me. I guess it just doesn't seem to fit with everything else you have written before this. If it were another story I would probably like it but not with everything else. But everything else was terrific...so kudos to you! -Katie

I'm curious... there were a couple things that you said you were going to tell about later that never got told about. Fred's daughter for one (at least, I think it was Fred's...) you said something about how she was a very special girl with special talents and that we would hear more about her later. This is coming from memory.. so I apologize if I got it wrong! Plus, I was hoping to find out how Harry knew Chandra. Are these things, and perhaps more unexplained mysteries, ever going to be made clear to us? Or at least semi-clear *grin* clear as mud!

Well, with those questions out of the way I can say that I LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF READING THESE STORIES!!!! They are my all time favourites, and I've never read any stories so well written, completely original (although I have read stories that I believe have taken some ideas from these stories and gone off on a completely different tangent with them) stories that pull you along drinking down every last drop like it's the last drink you'll ever have. They're just amazing. I don't know how else to describe them... Thank you so much for the gift of reading them

Bri

Ok I just finished the whole searies and on a whole I love them almost more than the real stories they are gerat now I don't realy like the idea of the whole thing being a dream and there were a few things that you didn't explain like the Devi woman said that he would remember where they knew eachother from and it never answered that and I am asuming that the order got the go ahead. It would also have been nice to find out for shure who Mira was I have a fealing that she was there daughter but you never said or went that far into there future it would have been nice to see their family life I always like thoughs after storys Its cool to see the fater he would become and how he raises his kids being a hero of the world and how the kids take it and I think with you writing you cold do it brilliantly!!!!! love you work even your new story!!

Disregard the first half of the next review, because in my excitement, I reviewed before fully allowing Timepiece to wash over me. That must have been TOO WIERD for Harry! The only thing I find to discredit the story, is Harry's running narration in Towards Tomorrow (Stream of conscieceness if you will), unless he purposely forgot his own future, Harry wouldn't be considering whether he liked Ginny Weasley or not, he would know! and would be merely biding his time, knowing when the moment for action would come. Either way, you're much more talented than I, and if I could pat you on the back, I would. Malheursement, J'habite a Wisconsin, pas D.C. Bon nuit Ben

Author's Response: All right, it looks as if you too have taken the assumption that Harry now 'knows' everything that is going to happen. That's the beauty of this story. It can be taken a million different ways! (talk about interpretation!) In truth, it was meant that we're back to the begining - but like with all dreams, details fade. He may have an idea of what comes next (which may account for his excellent instincts in the stories and why he knows Chandra etc, but it was not meant as a cut and dried NOW HE KNOWS ALL comment.) Ah well. Thanks for reading!

Jesus, Wow. I'm at a loss for words. I skived off work for your fic I hope you know! haha. I'll just have to tell my boss, "I was reading some awesome fanfiction, sorry, I won't let it happen again." But that would be an outright lie ofcourse lol. FanFiction is the most benefiction and healthy addiction!!!! I'm so glad I found 'you' though. I was reading some fic on Fanfiction.net and the author had listed you as a reference for his/her bonding ideas. Compared to your fic though, his/her fic would barily pass for a 5th grader's attempt. . . in comparison ofcourse. The only thing that threw me off was Timepiece. Someone else reviewed, and I unfortunately share their dilemma. . . I'm a sap for happy endings : ( I also see another review ( or maybe two, I forget ) that wish you would start a separate series continueing from the end of SS Potter ( which, if they would think this through, would render 'a new series' totally pointless, because it would just be a continuation, but w/e ), and I must add myself to said fan group. You'd have some HUGE competition though. The author ( I hope I'm spelling this right ) is S'tarkan, and he's on FanFiction.net. He has a story going right now ( novel length ofcourse ) that is probably the only fic I can recall to date to be in the same league as yours. Harry kills Voldemort by like the age of 30 or something, everyone is dead that he has ever cared about, he contemplates suicide, but instead consults Dumbledore's portrait in the ruin that was once Hogwarts. S'tarkan is, if I remember correctly, a middle aged Physcology major and math major ( ? maybe ? ). Anyway, he throws in "Quantum'. . . ummm. . . stuff, that my 17 year mind has yet to comprehend, and Harry, at great risk, transports his soul back to inhabit his 11 year old self before Hogwarts. I don't know where I'm going with this, but my brain seems a little disfunctional at 1 AM. I guess I'll just say, your works are incredible, I love 'em, and I recommend S'tarkan's current piece at FanFiction.net. My email is Tmwood@tds.net if you'd like to reply. I've been so immersed in your series that I've yet to set up an account on this website. Thanks much, Ben PS- I hold you in such high regards, that I think I'll take your advise and invest in The Hitchiker's Guide To The Galaxy. The ability to read is a gift, treasure it!

Author's Response: Thankis for your review! TIMEPIECE was not meant as a 'starting over' piece. It was not meant as a 'sad ending'. Everything that happened in the S.S. Potter series HAS STILL HAPPENED. The only thing that has changed is that somewhere - back in time - Harry has woken up with an odd dream, a dream that will self-fufill into the story that has already been written. Like all dreams however, it will fade in time, but perhaps it is because of the dream that things turn out the way they have. Thanks for reading!

Well, I can't tell you how much I have enjoyed the SSPotter universe. I've ignored my kids and stayed up way too late working my way through all the stories over the last few days, and it has been loads of fun. I do hope you will write a few more shorts as you've implied. As I've sung your praises before, I'll reign it in by just saying they were well written, well conceived and beautifully realized. Excellent job! Thank you so much for sharing this epic with us.

Author's Response: Epic is about right! I originally began writing the S.S. Potter stories for my daughter ( who was dying for more HP - this was during the gap after book five), and then I got, well, I guess you'd have to say hooked on writing fanfiction, and the story just kept going! Thanks for reading! I don't know if you've read my attempt at a sequel to HBP, but it's called THE DARK AND WINDING PATH and is a completely seperate story line.
