Chapter 1: Chapter 1

Author's Notes: Hope you enjoy!

It’s the summer before Harry’s sixth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. It was a late night on July 1st when Harry arrived at The Burrow accompanied by Professor Dumbledore who had unexpectedly gathered up Harry and his things. He went with the Professor to a little house to talk to an old Professor friend where Dumbledore unabashedly used Harry as a bargaining tool to convince this old colleague to come back to teach at Hogwarts for the upcoming school year.

Harry sat silently at the dining room table as Mrs. Weasley bustled about the kitchen getting hot tea and biscuits out for him.

“Are you sure I can’t get you a hot cup of tea or some biscuits, Albus?” Molly asked eagerly as she wiped her hands on her apron. The professor smile softly and shook his head.

“No thank you, Molly. I daresay I have taken up enough of young Harry’s time for the night. I take it Arthur is out on duty tonight, please let me know if there is anything you shall need. I will be in touch, and Harry, I will see you at the beginning of the term.” His eyes twinkled as he walked himself out the door. As quickly as Dumbledore had left Mrs. Weasley whipped around with a soft smile on her face.

“Why don’t you finish up here dear, and then head on up to bed. You’ll be staying in the twins’ old room. And not to worry, they have ensured there are no pranks left behind. Arthur and I have both also done a thorough inspection. Ron and Ginny are already in bed for the night and they don’t know that you are here so it’ll be quite the surprise to them when they wake up.” She gave Harry small squeeze on his shoulder as she bustled about the kitchen as he finished his little snack.

Harry stood quietly while saying, “Thank you for everything, Mrs.Weasley.” As he moved to grab his dishes they were whisked away with a quick wave of her wand. He smiled warmly at her and said, “I think I will go get settled in for the night now. Goodnight, Mrs. Weasley.”

“Goodnight. Dear.”

With that Harry quietly trudged up the stairs and cautiously entered into the twins’ bedroom. His trunk and Hedwig already there waiting for him. Harry laid in bed and let his mind wander. At first he let his grief come to the forefront of his mind. His heart ached, he missed his godfather. But Harry knew he had to move past it, he had a bigger role in this war than most people knew and he had to focus. Eventually his mind drifted to the red head across the hall, Ginny Weasley.

It wasn’t really until the end of the school year that he had really begun to notice her. Her blazing fierce look as she faced Lucius Malfoy and the other death eaters at the Ministry still burned in his memory. And over the last month she had been his reprieve in a dark world. Of course Ron and Hermione had sent him countless letters, more Hermione than Ron. But both sent much the same letter. Always filled with little aspects of their summer, asking how he has been and reassuring him that Sirius’ death was not his fault. Ginny, on the other hand, sent letters filled with humor and genuine care.

Unlike his other friends, Ginny never pressured him to talk and were never too heavy. He loved hearing all about Ron’s silent celebrations when he received letters from Hermione or how he had ripped apart his Viktor Krum action figure. She often talked about the different products the twins had created and tested on Ron. And she always made light of his brooding grumpy behavior over the last year. Ginny had been his light, and he had recently realized how smitten he was with her. With thoughts of Ginny floating through his head, Harry finally drifted to sleep.

Across the hall Ginny lay awake in bed staring at the ceiling. She couldn’t sleep, she couldn’t stop thinking about the troubled black haired boy. The one she had so desperately tried to move on from. She had been doing great, that is until she had accompanied him and their friends to the ministry. Now her heart beat again for him, she doesn’t think it ever truly stopped. But now instead of loving The Boy Who Lived, she loved Harry…just Harry. She had helped him over the summer and was hopeful he would be coming to The Burrow soon, She had no clue the boy was already settled in the room across from hers. As her eyes finally grew heavy, she couldn’t help but picture his brave face, the one that was burned in her memory from when he faced the death eaters at the ministry.

Harry could feel a familiar damp and cold feeling in his feet. As he looked down he could see he was once again in the Chamber of Secrets. This time however he was there as his almost 16 year old self. A chill went down his spine as he started to survey his surroundings. He vaguely remembered his way through the tunnels, as he slugged through the water he wondered what he would find in the chamber.

As he turned the corner he saw the main room where he had once slain a basilisk. There on the cold floor was a young girl with red hair. His heart stopped and he ran forward kneeling beside the cold body of Ginny Weasley.

“Ginny! Wake up, please!” Harry shook her hard. Without any luck he started to feel tears escape. Behind him he head a beautiful trill, and as he turned he saw Fawkes flying above them. Somehow he knew what he had to do to awaken the girl. He bent his head down and placed a gentle kiss to her cold lips. As he let the kiss linger he felt her face start to warm up. He felt the kiss be returned and a warm hand caress his cheek. As he pulled away his eyes met warm brown ones.

“Harry, you saved me yet again.” Ginny took a look around, “thank you so much!” She wrapped her arms around his and kissed him again.

As they parted he said, “how did we get down here? Or am I dreaming?”

Ginny giggled, “no silly, this is my dream.” Realization dawned on both of them, they stared at each other with wide eyes. “Harry?” Harry audibly gulped and nodded. He shut his eyes and grew red with embarrassment. The next thing he knew he was sitting up in his bed and pressing his fingers to his lips. Ginny was startled awake much the same in her bed, and they both wondered what the hell had just happened.

Looking at the clock it was already 3 am. As both teens started to relax, they both thought to themselves that what they thought just happened could never have happened. They both shut their eyes and were quickly back to sleep. A new dream started as quickly as the last one had ended.

Ginny could feel the warm sun on her and the wind in her hair. After a brief moment she realized she was on her broom in the middle of a quidditch match. The quaffle was passed to her and she zoomed towards the opponents goal posts. As she threw the quaffle and scored a goal the crowd went wild. “Harry Potter has captured the snitch! Gryffindor wins 300-20! Weasley better watch out for the rogue blunger hit by Slytherin beater Crabbe!”

Ginny realized the announcer was talking about her so she peeled her eyes away from the celebrating dark haired boy and her wide eyes met a blunger zooming too fast for her to dodge it completely. She braced herself for the impact moving as fast as she could when she heard a sickening crunch and watched as Harry started to fall to the ground. She realized he must have moved at neck breaking speeds to reach her in time. She raced through the air to catch him, what felt like the longest seconds of her life passed and just meters above the ground she was met with her brother Ron as they both grabbed an arm and softly guided him to the grass. Everyone around her disappeared and she focused her sight on Harry.

“Harry, wake up. Come on, Potter. Can’t throw yourself like an idiot in front of a bludger and not wake up for me to make fun of you about it.” Ginny held his head in her lap and he began to stir.

“I’m just glad it wasn’t you, Gin. You are far too beautiful to get smacked in the head with a bludger.” Harry smirked and tried to sit up.

“Oh no mister, lay back down. Don’t move, please.” She threaded her fingers gently through his messy black hair. “My sweet prince, you’ve saved me yet again.” Their outfits changed and Harry was wearing a fancy suit, fit for a prince, Ginny wore a torn dress, similar to that of the muggle princess Cinderella. Ginny bent down to place a soft kiss on her prince’s lips when she froze,

“Harry?” Ginny said cautiously, “are we in another dream together?”

“Um,, yeah sure seems like it. The quidditch dream I have had before but this uh fairytale stuff is new…” Harry blushed.

Ginny looked around and noticed they were in a fantasy like forest with a brilliant white horse grazing beside them. She turned as red as her hair and said, “well no…this one is rather familiar to me. But how do we keep ending up in each others dreams?”

“I’m not sure but when we wake up we can try to figure it out. Maybe Hermione will know something, or Dumbledore.” Harry pondered.

“You really want to ask them and share what happened in these dreams? I’m embarrassed enough that you saw them!” Ginny exclaimed. In the background they could faintly hear,

‘Ginny dear, time to get up! I need your help this morning.’ The teens recognized the voice as Mrs. Weasley. They both felt a turn in their stomachs as they were transported back to the darkness of their own minds. Ginny popped her eyes open and relaxed slightly at the sight of her bedroom. The walls adorned with her normal posters, the faint smell of bacon wafting in from downstairs. She wondering nervously if what had happened was real. Little did she know the subject of her thoughts was wondering the same thing across the hall. “Coming, Mom!” She jumped out of bed and got dressed before making her way downstairs for breakfast.

Chapter 2: Chapter 2

Harry quietly got dressed and made his way down the stairs. He heard Ginny and her mum casually talking about things. Then Mrs. Weasley said, “Harry arrived late last night. I am hoping he sleeps in, so when your brother wakes up we need to let him know not to bother him.” Ginny froze.

“H..Harry is here?” She took a big breath and released it shakily when she saw her mother nod.

“Oh Ginny, I thought you had gotten over being so shy about him!” Her mother exclaimed and Ginny’s cheeks turned bright red.

“I have, it’s totally fine. I just worry how he is doing.” She said covering up her nervousness. Her mother nodded in silent agreement, but Harry could stay silent no more. He revealed himself from around the corner.

“Harry is doing just fine thanks to your funny letters.” Ginny dropped the mixer she was using and spun around to face him. He opened his arms as if asking for a hug. At this point Ginny was sure that her dreams were just that, HER own private dreams. She launched herself at Harry for a big hug.

“I think we have some things we need to discuss, princess.” He whispered into her ear as he hugged her tightly. Her grip loosened from around his neck and she looked at him in horror,

“So that really happened?” She asked quietly. He nodded, his face as red as hers.

“I am not sure how but our dreams or our minds are connected. But we can talk about it a bit later. I heard Ron stomping around upstairs so maybe we can escape and talk in private later?” Harry smiled at her sweetly and she nodded her face still burning with blush.

As they were whispering to each other all wrapped up together they completely missed the amused look on Mrs. Weasley’s face. They slowly separated and Ginny turned back towards the bowl of biscuit dough she was previously mixing. Harry started to ask if there was anything he could do to help out when his best mate came trudging into the room.

“Blimey, when did you get here?!” Ron gave his friend a manly hug.

“Late last night, I had no idea I was coming. Dumbledore came to get me.” Harry spoke more to the room than just Ron at this point so Ginny would hear it as well. Ron nodded and took his place at the table and helping himself to the eggs and bacon already placed on the table. His mom brought one of the already made baskets of biscuits to the table.

“Honestly Ronald, where are your manners? Go on and eat, Ginny, I will finish up in here,” Ginny nodded gratefully to her mom and took a seat one away from Ron, this left Harry to sit between them which made him blush a tad. “Ginny, after breakfast I am going to need you to pick the vegetables from the garden. Your brother degnomed it yesterday and the vegetables are starting to become overgrown.”

“Yes, Mom.” Ginny looked glum, at this rate how would she ever talk to Harry about their weird night.

“Mrs. Weasley, I really appreciate you letting me stay here all the time. I would love to help Ginny if you don’t mind. I used to tend to my Aunt Petunia’s garden.” Harry chimed in after seeing Ginny’s face. She smiled widely at him.

“You most certainly do not have to but if you insist, I reckon that garden would take her most of the morning and afternoon all by herself anyway.” Mrs. Weasley gave them a pointed look but as soon as she turned her back to start in the kitchen again she smirked.

Mr. Weasley finally made his way downstairs for breakfast. “Ah, good morning family! And hello Mr. Harry Potter. I apologize I was not here to greet you last night, but I take it your mission with Dumbledore went well?”

Harry swallowed his mouthful of eggs and nodded. “I guess so, the professor we went to talk to agreed to come back to Hogwarts.”

“Oh that is wonderful. An odd man he is, but Molly and I thoroughly enjoyed Horace’s classes when we were his students. Granted we were never part of his ‘prize’ selection of students.” Mr Weasley happened spoke before indulging in his breakfast.

“Oh, yes he showed me his wall. My mother was on that wall…” Harry’s voice drifted as he felt a warm hand squeeze his knee in comfort. He looked over at Ginny who was smiling warmly at him. They rest of breakfast went about with regular chit chat before Mr. Weasley excused himself to go to work.

“Come on mate, you don’t have to help Ginny. Let’s go play some chess and catch up.” Ron looked expectedly at Harry. Harry pondered this for a moment, if only to make Ron believe he might not want to spend his morning with Ginny over him.

“I promised Ginny I would help her. We can hang out later.” Harry didn’t see the smile that graced Ginny’s lips, she was shocked he would choose to spend the day helping her over spending time with her brother.

“You’re mad, mate. But sure, we can catch up later.” Harry turned towards Ginny and gestured towards the backdoor.

They quickly started in on the garden, both had baskets and gloves. They got set to work near one another, close enough they could talk without shouting.

“Do you dream about the chamber often?” Harry started slowly.

“I haven’t much since my third year to be honest, they’ve been more consistent recently since the ministry…” Harry winced at this, it was his fault she was having those awful nightmares of that place. “Stop it, it isn’t your fault. I chose to go to the ministry with you, and I would do it again. Besides, this was a much better version of the dream I usually have…” She said the last part quietly hoping Harry hadn’t heard her.

“I still wish they weren’t happening.” Harry stopped what he was doing and met her gaze over the patch of carrots she was working on. “Why do you think we can see each other’s dreams?” She sat there deep in thought.

“I have no idea. Maybe it was just a fluke? I mean you were practicing occlumency with Professor Snape right? Maybe subconsciously you entered my mind since my room is closest to where you were sleeping?” Ginny shrugged and began picking carrots again.

“I doubt it, I did enter Snape’s mind once…but it was different. I don’t think I could actively enter your dreams on accident. Besides, the second dream was mine that you entered.” Harry was going over any possible answer. “I don’t think we should tell anyone about this yet.”

“I agree, lets try to work this out ourselves,” Ginny and Harry began working on the garden just chatting about everything. After an hour and a half of work they were almost done and it was almost lunch. Harry felt the lion in his chest emerge and he asked,

“So how are things with Dean?” Ginny looked at him with confusion and then realization dawned on her. She started laughing loudly. Now Harry was the confused one.

“I only told Ron that to annoy him. I’ve already told him I was kidding, I guess I forgot you were listening too.” Ginny was still giggling and completely missed the look of relief cross Harry’s face.

“Are you seeing anybody then?” Harry asked quietly.

Ginny immediately stopped laughing and shook her head. “After the ministry people are torn between being impressed and equally afraid. The boys at Hogwarts don’t like strong independent girls. Besides, I would have thought my dreams indicated I didn’t have an interest in any of those other boys anyway.” She blushed and before Harry could respond Mrs. Weasley was calling them in for lunch. Ginny gathered her several bags and baskets of vegetables and gestured for Harry to follow her in for lunch.

Chapter 3: Chapter 3

After a long afternoon of playing quidditch with Ron and Ginny, they all sat down for dinner which was a rather quiet affair. They settled in the living room and spent the rest of the evening chatting. An owl came to the open window and Harry greeted Pig with a sweet hello. He traded the owl treats for the letters it carried.

“Looks like they are letters from Hermione.” Harry said while passing one to Ginny. Ron stood up and snatched his letter out of Harry’s hand and hastily made an excuse as he ran upstairs with the letter. Harry and Ginny burst out laughing at his antics. “Geez do you think they will finally get a clue?”

“Well in my experience in can take boys quite awhile to get a clue.” Ginny’s tone of voice was almost accusatory. Harry absentmindedly nodded. “I’m going to go upstairs and read this and reply, then I am probably off to bed.” She stood and yawned as she said this.

“I should do that too. Goodnight, Gin!” Harry followed her up the stairs and went to his room.

“Goodnight, Harry.” She said to his retreating form, thinking to herself, ‘Since when does he call me Gin?’

‘Harry,

Ron told me you were at the Burrow already! I am so glad that Professor Dumbledore let you leave your aunt and uncle’s so soon. I will be joining you guys in 2 days! Can’t wait to tell you all about my summer.

Love,
Hermione’

Harry penned a quick response and put it to the side for Hedwig to take with Ginny or Ron’s if they wanted. As he crawled into bed he just realized how tired he truly was. His mind wandered back to the red head across the hall as he drifted off to sleep.

Harry recognized where he was immediately. He was in the graveyard where Voldemort was reborn and Cedric had died. He started walking towards the cauldron that was placed in front of Tom Riddle Sr’s grave. Out of the cauldron came the ghostly figure of Sirius Black.

“It is all your fault I am dead Harry.”

Next came Cedric Diggory saying the same sentence. Then his mother and his father. Harry was brought to his knees by the grief and guilt. He felt a warmth spread over him as someone wrapped him up in their arms.

“Don’t listen to them Harry, this is just a cruel dream.” It was Ginny. “I am right here, Harry.”

“You have forgotten us, Harry. You no longer remember us for you are blinded by your love.” His mother stepped forward saying these words angrily. Ginny didn’t know what she meant by Harry’s love blinding him. Who did he love like that? But she knew they couldn’t stay here. She held him close and shut her eyes willing for a new dream to take over.

“It is all gone Harry, they are gone. And you know that wasn’t real. Open your eyes, Harry.” Ginny herself looked around and was a tad confused. They were in some sort of bedroom. It was decorated beautifully with a huge bed. Harry lifted his head and also looked around.

“Where are we?” Harry asked. Ginny shrugged as she continued to look around. Just then they heard tiny footsteps and loud voices coming close.

“Mum! James broke my toy…again!” The bedroom door burst open and a young girl about 6 came rushing in. She had red hair and green eyes. Behind her was an exasperated boy about 10 years old. He had black hair and brown eyes. Then behind him was a small boy about 9 years old, he had black hair and green eyes. He was the spitting image of Harry. And the others looked related but like a mix of Harry and Ginny.

“Woah Dad, are you okay? You guys look startled.” The younger boy said concerned.

“Daddy! Do something, James is being mean to me!” The young girl launched herself at Harry. His eyes went wide and Ginny stifled a laugh.

“James, what have we told you about messing with your sister?” Ginny said, it just came out of her mouth like she knew exactly what to say.

“Then tell her to stop touching my quidditch stuff! She isn’t big enough.” The older boy whined.

“Lily? Were you trying to ride your brother’s new broom again?” Harry said, looking at the young girl. She became shy and snuggled into her dad.

“I did but I never get to play! I won’t fall off I promise.” Harry looked at her softly.

“Your mother used to do the exact same thing to her brothers. I know it sucks but you just aren’t big enough for a big kid broom. How about we look at the quidditch store and see if they have one better suited for you now?” Harry hugged her tightly. “Now go on and play you lot, I need to speak to your mother.” The kids all grumbled a ‘yes dad’ and left the room.

“What the bloody hell was that?!” Ginny exclaimed.

“I have no idea, but I just somehow knew who they were and what to do. Did you feel that way too?” Harry asked. Ginny nodded. She finally got up and looked at the pictures strewn about the room on the walls. They all showed the five of them as a happy family. There was even one of Harry, Ginny, Hermione and Ron. It looked to be a photo taken at Hermione’s wedding as she was in a beautiful white dress. But Ginny looked very slightly pregnant in the photo. She felt Harry step up behind her.

“Say…you don’t think Hermione and Ron are married in this dream, do you?” He pointed to his and Ron’s dress robes and the slight difference in them.
Ginny giggled. “Of course they would finally get it. So what do you think all of this is?” She said.

“Looks like it is your dream, and a much better one than mine. So why don’t we just go explore it for a bit?” Harry reached out to grab her hand and pulled her towards the door. Just then Ginny caught a glimpse of them in the mirror above the wardrobe. She gasped and it caused Harry to stop in his tracks and see what she saw.

There in the mirror stood two older versions of themselves. Ginny was as beautiful as ever, but you could see some wrinkles and smile lines painted on her face to show she had aged. And Harry still had his jet black messy hair, albeit maybe some of it was a tad gray. He had clear signs of living a stressful youth. But both looked healthy and happy.

“Woah, glad to see we still look good after all these years.” She said chuckling.

“I am not surprised, you’ve always been beautiful.” Harry said softly, then he grabbed her hand again and pulled her along before she could respond to what he said. They walked down the long hallway and saw several rooms. One with a sign that said “Lily’s room”, another that said “Jame’s room”. The last one caught Harry’s eye as it read, “Albus’ room”. They heard three children giggling downstairs so they rushed down the steps and saw the three kids running around what appeared to be the living room. Ginny glanced at the clock and saw it looked to be about lunch time.

“Who wants some lunch?” Ginny asked as she came down the last few steps behind Harry. All three kids hollered their agreement to lunch. Ginny left Harry with the kids and wandered about to look for the kitchen. On her way she noticed plenty more pictures on the walls. Some were of the whole family. There was one that excited her immensely of her on a broomstick wearing a Holyhead Harpies uniform as they one the world cup. She finally found the huge kitchen but gasped as she looked outside the backdoor to find a huge yard complete with a half sized quidditch pitch.

Ginny couldn’t let herself get caught up in these little details. She examined the ingredients she had in the kitchen and whipped up some sandwiches and a light potato soup.

“Time to eat!” She hollered. A mere seconds later she heard what sounded like a pack of hippogriffs running through the house. The kids all took seats around the table and Harry soon followed. Once they all sat down the kids said thank you to Ginny for lunch and dug in.

As Harry started to dig into his food, there was a loud knocking throughout the house. The kids and Ginny did not seem to notice but it was followed by a loud voice, “Harry! Mate, wake up!” It was Ron. Next thing he knew he was opening his eyes to see his best mate standing in his room with a letter in his face.

“Hey mate, sorry to wake you. I was just hoping I could borrow Hedwig to respond to Hermione.” Harry yawned and rubbed his eyes, he was grumpy now that Ron had interrupted the best dream.

“Yeah, fine. But don’t send her out yet. I want to make sure Ginny can send a letter too if she wants to.” Ron nodded and left his sealed letter near Hedwig and quickly left muttering his sorry for waking him.

Chapter 4: Chapter 4

“That was quite some dream, wasn’t it?” Harry said to Ginny as they both left their rooms at the same time to go down to breakfast. Ginny blushed and hurried down to breakfast, and she spent the rest of the morning avoiding Harry. He felt a little annoyed by this and thought they were getting along so well despite their odd ability to share dreams. This made Harry even grumpier for the day and he spent most of his day outside mindlessly flying or playing chess with Ron. But Ron would get annoyed because Harry was more distracted than normal.

Ginny spent the morning avoiding Harry and helping her Mum around the house with various chores. It was just before lunch and she was helping her mum get food prepared.

“Mum, have you ever shared a dream with anyone before?” Ginny asked cautiously.

“What do you mean, Ginny dear? I tell your father most of my dreams, especially if they are bothersome.” Molly replied.

“No I mean…like the person in your dream was real?” Ginny knew at this point her mum must have thought she was crazy.

“That sounds like nonsense, Ginny. Are you having nightmares again?”

“Nothing like that. I just keep having these realistic dreams and there is always one other person in them and it seems so real…you know what, never mind. I must be going stir crazy.” Ginny muttered the last bit to herself. Her mum leaned in closer and said,

“Are you having dreams about a certain dark haired wizard? Don’t think I haven’t noticed the way you blush every time he walks in a room again.” Ginny tried to look shocked by her mother’s accusations. “But don’t worry too much dear, Harry seems to have very similar reactions to you. Your father and I have noticed since he has been here that he is quite taken with you.”

“You really think so? Mum, I have been such an idiot. I have spent all day avoiding him because of a dream I had. But I think I have really hurt his feelings.” Ginny said panicked.

“Why don’t you talk with him after lunch?” Molly had suggested.

“There is no way Ron would leave us alone long enough to talk.” Ginny huffed.

“Well you leave that to me, I will make sure the two of you have plenty time to talk.” Ginny finished the last of the lunch prep and hugged her mom.

“Thank you mom!”

“Of course dear. Besides your father and I are rooting for you and Harry. You know how much we love him.”

Ginny smiled and just hoped he wasn’t too terribly upset with her. Her mom went to fetch Ron and Harry for lunch while she finished setting the table. Harry was the first one in and he took his normal seat next to Ron. Ginny was hesitant to take the other empty seat next to him and he watched her. Almost as if he was expecting her to sit away from him. She knew this was all her fault, she should not have ignored him. So she put on a smile and sat right next to Harry.

Ron finally dragged himself into a chair as his mom started to serve bowls of soup to everyone.

“Ronald, after lunch I need you to go out and degnome the garden.” Molly said sternly.

“But mom, it is so bloody hot outside. Harry, mate, come out and help me.” Ron pleaded with his best friend. Just as Harry was about to agree, Molly spoke.

“Watch your language, young man! As for Harry, he needs to help Ginny in the attic. I have asked her to do some cleaning up there and there are somethings well out of her reach that Harry can help her with.” Molly gave Ginny a knowingly look and then glanced at Harry to see if he would protest.

“Oh I’d love to help, Mrs. Weasley. Sorry, mate. Maybe if Gin and I get done early then I can come help you.” Ron grumbled and continued to eat his soup.

Mrs. Weasley excused the kids to go on and get started on chores while she cleaned up lunch. Ron told Harry he owed him a game of chess later, which Harry half heartedly agreed.

Up in the attic Ginny was speaking softly to the ghoul, asking him to let them talk and clean peacefully. If he did that, Ginny would sneak him up a treat. And he did oblige her request. They both got to work sorting through some boxes and cleaning up cobwebs.

“I’m really sorry for avoiding you, Harry.” Ginny said softly. “I was just so embarrassed at the dream I pulled you into…”

“Hey, it’s okay. I should be thanking you. You pulled me from my own nightmare, and quite frankly I thoroughly enjoyed that dream of yours.” Harry paused to look at her as he spoke. “I know it’s all a bit crazy and we have no clue how it is happening. But I wouldn’t want to be sharing dreams with anyone else.”

Ginny blushed, and she thought for a minute on what she should say. “I tried, you know. I tried to get over you. And in a way I did. I got over my school girl crush I had on the boy who lived. I tried dating Michael to get over you, but over the past year especially…I fear I may have rekindled those feelings. But now instead of the boy who lived, I fancy my friend Harry. It’s okay if you don’t feel the same…” Ginny hadn’t noticed how close Harry had become while she was talking but now his hands were cupping her cheek as he closed the distance between them and kissed her. If anyone was impressed by the twin’s fireworks then they clearly had never kissed Harry Potter.

He pulled away far sooner than she would have liked but his hand remained on her cheek. “I fancy you too. I have since the end of last year. I am so sorry I was too dumb to notice you sooner.”

Ginny pulled him closer, “just shut up and kiss me again.” Harry didn’t need to be told twice. Kissing Ginny was nothing like he had ever experienced. They were so wrapped up in one another they didn’t see the two identical red heads poking their head in and high fiving one another.

“Be mine?” Harry said as they parted to catch their breath. Ginny chuckled and nodded happily.

“Come on, we got to go tell Mum!” Ginny dragged Harry out of the attic and down the stairs. As they passed Ron’s room they were stopped by Fred and George.

“Well if it isn’t…”

“our two favorite…”

“lovebirds. Together at…”

“last.”

The twins took turns finishing the sentence and Ginny huffed.

“Now, it is quite a good thing that we rather adore Harry. Wouldn’t you say Fred?” George said with a menacing grin.

“Right you are, George. We owe quite a lot to Harry, so we will let you be.” Fred patted Harry on the back and he whispered in his ear. “Consider this our thank you gift as we hope you have enjoyed your dreams.”

Harry’s mouth went open and shut in shock.

“What did you say to him?” Ginny exclaimed.

“It was them! What did you do?” Harry said rather angrily.

“We helped you guys realize your true feelings is all! It is our new product!”

“Girl or Boy Of Your Dreams! They are special pillow cases that make the person using it dream about the person they think of most often. And if both users are dreaming about each other it can cause them to appear in each others dreams. The stronger the feelings, the stronger the connection! George and I knew Harry would be sleeping in our room, we just didn’t know when. So we planted it in there at the end of term.” Fred said.

“So you are telling me that it is because you of fools that I spent everyday this summer dreaming about Harry!” Ginny exclaimed.

“The effects of the pillowcase only wear off if the people using them admit their feelings or move on. So you see, Fred and I helped push you two together!” George said hoping his angry sister would calm down.

“Well it did help. I did get the girl of my dreams, and I would say they were much better than the nightmares I usually have.” Harry said, squeezing Ginny’s hand.

“Oh I supposed you are right. They did help us admit our feelings sooner.” Ginny leaned up to kiss him on the lips. After a minute of the couple snagging, Fred cleared his throat. Ginny pulled away and noticed that the twins had been coming out of Ron’s room. “Say you wouldn’t be pulling the same trick on our brother and Hermione now, would you?”

“Brilliant idea!” Harry exclaimed.

“Way ahead of you guys, both pillowcases have been planted. Now we just wait for Hermione’s arrival.” Fred said. They four of them made their way down the stairs laughing as they went.
