Ginny dropped her duffel bag down with a groan and dragged herself to the kitchen. It had been a long work day, and all she wanted to do was curl up in front of the fire and read a book.
Not feeling up to cooking a meal, Ginny poured herself a bowl of chocolate cereal. After eating, she changed into sweats and a black tank top then plopped onto her couch. With a wave of her wand the fire sparked up, feeding off the oxygen in the room.
Already beginning to feel the stress of the day fall off, Ginny sighed in contentment as she sipped her tea.
Lunch had been wonderful with Harry. She didn’t know what she did to deserve such a wonderful friend. Funny thing was, though, that she never saw or even heard of Harry do anything like that for Hermione.
He always brought her chocolates whenever he was back from whatever he was doing. Flowers and dinners were also abundant when Harry was back in town. She wondered how long he would be staying this time.
The Weasleys, herself included, often questioned what Harry was doing that they could not tell them, his own adopted family. All they knew was whatever it was, he always came back battered and broken.
Ginny frowned as she remembered the apparent pain in Harry’s ribs. That boy had better do some explaining sooner or later.
With a sigh, Ginny opened her book and lost herself into another world.

“Ron !”
“Ron!”
“Ron, mate, open the door, it’s an emergency!”
Harry banged his hand on the door until finally Ron opened the door. “Harry?” Ron questioned.
Harry didn’t wait for an invitation. He stormed through the front door and into the living room, pacing in a giant circle
“Bloody hell, Harry, what’s got you all worked up?” Ron asked after he closed the door and followed Harry into the living room.
Harry stopped and turned to look at his best mate. “You wanna know what’s got me all worked up?”
Ron looked at Harry. “No, I want you to leave my flat this instant, of course I want to know what’s wrong you prat.”
Harry shook his head and plopped down onto the couch, holding his head in his hands.
“It’s your bloody sister, that’s what.”
Ron walked over to stand in front of Harry. “Ginny?”
“No, the bloody queen of England,” Harry snapped, lifting his head to glare at Ron.
“Ginny has been driving me batty all week.”
“What are you talking about Harry? You demand to come into my house at three in the morning and you speak riddles about my little sister. Tell me what’s wrong.”
“I already told you.” Harry burst out, frustrated, “your sister is the problem.”
Ron shook his head and sat next to Harry. “What’s Ginny done now?”
Harry let out a sigh. “Other than being the most amazing woman on earth, nothing!”
Ron felt a grin slide onto his face, despite the fact that it was now, he checked his watch, three o’ five in the morning.
“Harry, you don’t fancy my sister, do you?”
Harry jumped off the couch. “Yes, Ron, I do. I fancy her so much that I cannot even see the color red without thinking about your sister. It’s been driving me crazy all week. I try to do nice things for her, you know, but she thinks that I’m just her friend!”
Harry seemed to deflate at those last words as he fell back onto the couch with a depressed face.
“Bloody hell, Ron, I think I love Ginny.”
Ron looked disbelieving at Harry. “Why are you telling me this, Harry? Go to the one person that would actually appreciate you proclaiming your undying love for them.”
“You think I should tell her.”
“What did I just tell you to do?”
Harry felt all his past fears of rejection come back. “What if she hates me for and she says she never wants to be my friend again, and then she moves away and…”
Ron interrupted him. “Harry, for the love of Merlin, shut the bloody hell up and go find my sister. I know she will not reject you, hate you, and she most certainly will not move away. Now go to her.”
Ron stood, opened his bedroom door, and then disappeared.
With another defeated sigh, Harry found himself in front of the door that led to his Ginny’s flat.

Ginny slowly opened her eyes and groaned, trying to bury herself deeper into her bed. She growled aggressively as someone banged on her door, the source of which had woken her in the first place.
Ginny flung the blankets off her body and stumbled out of bed, ready to punish the person who decided to wake her up in the early hours of the bloody morning.
Flinging the door open, she was somewhat shocked to find a white faced, sweat soaked, and shaking Harry standing on the other side.
“Bloody hell, Harry, what happened to you?”
“G-Ginny, I, uh, needed to talk to you.”
“Couldn’t have waited until, I don’t know, later?”
Harry shook his head no. Ginny opened the door wider. “All right, come on in.”
Harry nodded with a jerky twitch of his head and followed Ginny inside. They both settled on her couch. Ginny got comfortable as Harry tried to figure out how to say what he was thinking.
Harry sighed. Come on Potter, you can do this, its just Ginny. She can’t kill you, well, she could, but… Harry shook his head.
“All, Ginny, I’ve needed to say this for a long, long time, and I need you to hear me out before you say anything, ok?”
Ginny nodded in agreement and waited for Harry to begin.
“You see, I, uh, recently came to the conclusion the other night that, I um, that I, bloody hell.” Harry dragged his hand down his face.
Ginny shifted her position so that she was facing Harry. “Out with it.”
Harry swallowed. “All right, I’m just gonna come out and say it. I fancy you Ginny, I mean I really, really fancy you.
Ginny just gaped at Harry. Of all the things she thought he was going to say, this was the least expected.
“Harry, I, are you sure?”
Harry nodded his head enthusiastically. Then, by some sweet miracle, Harry suddenly found himself lying flat on the couch, with the most beautiful woman in the world snogging him senseless
When they came up for air, Harry looked straight into Ginny’s eyes. “So what do you say?”
Ginny shook her head, “I really don’t feel like saying anything at all.”
That’s when Harry leaned forward and kissed her gently, quite the opposite of before.
“I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
