Congrats to everyone who did as well! Sir Ollivander came out of the woodwork on 2008.11.11 - 09:20PM to say: lilyevans_Jan30 - yes, you are basically correct. Each story in this round was nominated at lease once. A small number were nominated 2-3 times with a few more 4-5 times. I am hoping that, with the judges that didn't nominate the first time, judging this time, we will have some specific results. If all fails, I can always fudge the second round with the first round to determine the winners. Tamaran Girl came out of the woodwork on 2008.11.11 - 09:30PM to say: ummm the "Ladies: Noble git taken. Back off" was actually written by me, not by the wewarren68. =/ Sir Ollivander came out of the woodwork on 2008.11.11 - 09:47PM to say: Tamaran Girl - it appears some judges copied and pasted a bit awkward. You're the senond person that pointed out an error. It will be corrected. Thanks. DebbieO came out of the woodwork on 2008.11.11 - 10:51PM to say: Can we comment on the ones we like best if we aren't judges? I totally have a favorite after my read through. Tamaran Girl came out of the woodwork on 2008.11.11 - 11:06PM to say: oh sorry about the last postings - my computer spazzed on me. Thanks! lilyevans_Jan30 came out of the woodwork on 2008.11.11 - 11:15PM to say: DebbieO - I assume you can leave a review like with any other story. Also, I noticed that one of the entries only has five words: "Harry's a Horcrux, who knew?" by Tenorspaz. Should it have been "Harry is a Horcrux, who knew?" ginnyp0tter came out of the woodwork on 2008.11.12 - 12:11AM to say: Personal favorite: "Save the seeker, save the world." But then again, I'm partial to "Heroes." There are a lot of good ones! I've got no idea who will win. Victor Aagaard came out of the woodwork on 2008.11.12 - 06:03AM to say: Congratulations to all of the semi-finalists! Sir Ollivander came out of the woodwork on 2008.11.12 - 08:24AM to say: DebbieO - you most certainly can! Go for it. Sir Ollivander came out of the woodwork on 2008.11.12 - 08:30AM to say: lilyevans_Jan30 - I checked with the original in the e-mail. Tenorspaz's story is as its written. I did not, and will not, correct any submissions like that in any manner. Did you see the seven-word entry? Spenser Hemmingway came out of the woodwork on 2008.11.12 - 09:30AM to say: Hmm... No clues in this news posting about the next Challenge? Ah ha! That in itself must be the clue! Incredibly ingenious! The Marauders' Map always fades away at "Mischief Managed" (a favorite pair of words for me). Harry must find out why it won't reactivate for him one day, and Ginny and he set out on a great adventure to learn the map's origin. Along the way they encounter a crazed Wizard cartographer, rabid drafting elves and a Serbian three-horned pink polka dotted smarfflehound. What an incredibly brilliant way to let us know what the next Challenge is going to be! Am I ever wrong about these things? Torak came out of the woodwork on 2008.11.12 - 10:01AM to say: Yes. :-p Kerney came out of the woodwork on 2008.11.14 - 11:39PM to say: Save the Seeker, Save the World reminded me of one a friend came up with after reading this (after closure). Cho Chang: Cylon in Crossover Hell. Congrats other semi finalists. | |||||||||||

Question: If I understand correctly, each of the stories remaining was nominated at least once (and most of them were probably chosen only once, correct?)
What's to keep each of the judges from not simply voting a second time for the same stories they nominated the first time? Did any stories receive more than one vote in the first round? Will that count for more in the final judging?
